Three more arrested in shootout
BATON ROUGE - Three more men have been arrested for their roles in a violent shootout Wednesday morning. Six people have now been arrested in connection with the crime.
The bloody gunfight happened on Ridge Pecan Dr. in the Gardere area. Cops picked up Avery Honea, Ivan Graham and Bryton Montelaro on Friday morning.
Avery is charged with principal to first degree murder and attempted first degree murder. Graham and Montelaro both face principal to first degree murder charges.
Investigators say Honea, Graham, Montelaro, Aaron Hargrove and DeMarcus James went to the apartment with the intention of stealing money and drugs from Christopher Vincent. They claim Honea and Graham stayed in the car, while James went inside.
Shots rang out inside the apartment, and Honea and Aaron Hargrove allegedly opened fire on Vincent's roommate. Cops say James was shot in the exchange with Vincent, and he was dropped off at the hospital, where authorities later picked him up.
James, Hargrove and Patrick Anderson were booked on Thursday. James is accused of killing Vincent, while Hargrove is charged with shooting Vincent's roommate in the back. Patrick Anderson allegedly cleaned and hid the guns, and faces charges for obstruction of justice.
