Three month lane closure causes headaches

One lane on the southbound side of Siegen Lane will be shut down for three months. The lane closure will allow contractors to expand the I-10 overpass, which is part of the interstate expansion project.

Drivers told News 2 the closure would be a headache, but is something they just have to deal with.

"It's necessary to make things better," said Eric Doherty, who works in the construction industry. "You speed it up and make errors, so just take your time and do a good job."

Consultants for the project said the closure will allow the northbound lane of Siegen to remain free and clear for the three months.
