Three men were indicted today for the shooting of a Hammond couple that happened last month.

Benny Deshan Flowers, 25, of LaPlace, Ronald Dean Bandy, Jr., 24, of Hammond, and Jarris Darnell Monroe, 23, of Metairie were indicted for first degree murder by a grand jury in Tangipahoa Parish.

The three are accused of invading Anthony and Grace Lamonte's home on South Baptist Road in Hammond on Aug. 23. Grace Lamonte was shot and killed and her husband was critically injured.

The jury also handed down indictments for criminal conspiracy to commit first degree murder for Alice Willo Walker, 33, and Justin Dwayne Walker, 17, both of Hammond.

District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux said he hopes all of the defendants will be scheduled for arraignment in the next week.
