Three face charges over fake Super Bowl tickets
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Federal authorities accused three men of trafficking counterfeit tickets for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans.
Officials with U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Alabama authorities seized dozens of fake tickets and $7,000 in counterfeit cash at a Jan. 31 traffic stop.
ICE says 53-year-old Dwight E. Wilcoxson; 47-year-old Anthony A. Hunter; and 45-year-old Darryl A. Wesby are charged with conspiring to transport and sell counterfeit tickets to the Feb. 3 Super Bowl.
Hunter and Wilcoxson are also charged with possession of counterfeit U.S. currency.
