Three dead in New Jersey murder-suicide
EDGEWATER, N.J. - Authorities say three people have been found dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a luxury high-rise apartment building in New Jersey.
Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli says the bodies were found Friday night at the Windsor at Mariners Tower, an apartment building on the bank of the Hudson River in Edgewater.
Molinelli says 52-year-old Michael Stasko shot his 49-year-old wife, Melissa, and 8-year-old daughter, Nellie, while they were in bed, before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities believe the incident may have happened Dec. 22 or early Dec. 23.
The newspaper reports police discovered the bodies after receiving a call from Melissa Stasko's worried brother in Missouri.
The investigation is ongoing.
