Three crew members are dead after a medical helicopter crashed in a rainy field Thursday morning in western Tennessee. The three were on a return trip from delivering a patient. Authorities say it went down just a few miles from its destination.

Officials say there was no indication of any problems. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.

A total of 41 people were killed in 11 medical helicopter accidents between December 2007 and February 2010, according to an NTSB report.
