Three arrested for robbery, impersonating police
BATON ROUGE - Three people were arrested in Baton Rouge Wednesday after investigators said they impersonated police officers, broke into someone's house and demanded money and drugs.
Police arrested Clayton Dugan, Miles Moreno and Joel Scales. All three were booked on aggravated burglary and armed robbery charges, while Moreno and Scales were also charged with impersonating a police officer.
Investigators said the three went to a home on St. Rose Ave. around 3:15 a.m. and claimed to be police before bursting into the home through a window. Police said once inside, the three threatened the people who lived there with a gun and knife and demanded their money and marijuana.
Officers said they fled the scene and were caught a short time later. Police said they also recovered the stolen money and drugs.
All three suspects were booked into the parish prison.
