Three arrested after bank heist
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested three individuals suspected to be involved in a bank robbery that happened Wednesday morning in Shenandoah.
Leroy George III, 19, Terri Lynn Larrieu, 50, and Regina Ann Alfred, 39, were taken into custody following the robbery of the Chase Bank at 6170 Jones Creek Road.
A witness gave detectives the license plate of the car seen driving away and authorities found it parked outside of Larrieu's apartment. Investigators said they found George, Alfred and a large amount of cash and money orders in the residence.
Deputies said all three suspects admitted to having a hand in the robbery. George claimed he robbed the bank, but was not armed. Larrieu admitted to driving the getaway vehicle and Alfred claimed she was aware of the planned robbery.
Alfred told authorities they were about to be evicted from their apartment.
The trio was booked on charges related to the robbery.
