Thousands of prescription drugs seized, man arrested
PIERRE PART- A man from Assumption Parish is behind bars after deputies seized thousands of prescription pills and over $1000 in cash.
Authorities launched an investigation after receiving numerous complaints from residents that Ray Metrejean, Jr. was selling prescription pain pills. Investigators say Metrejean would go to Texas to get numerous prescription pain pills and sell them from his residence and vehicle in Pierre Part.
Authorities confiscated various records and documentation supporting and obtaining of various prescriptions from various pharmacies in the Houston, Texas area.
Metrejean is booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center. Investigators say more arrests and charges are pending.
