Thousands lose power after crash Wednesday night
BATON ROUGE – Thousands of people lost power Wednesday night when a car crashed destroyed transformers south of LSU.
The wreck happened at the intersection of Nicholson and Lee between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Power lines were knocked over, covering the street and transformers fell and disconnected power from customers.
Entergy reported about 2,300 people lost power. An online power outage map did not indicate a restoration time.
