These kicks are literally ready for a crawfish boil
BATON ROUGE- Skateboard shop, Rukus, helped design a new shoe for Nike that pays homage to a crawfish boil.
The store said it's a design, made for customers to thank them for years of business. "(The people of South Louisiana have) kept us around for so many years," store manager Dan Roberts told Lafayette TV station KATC. KATC, an ABC affiliate and news partner with WBRZ.com, reported on the shoe this week.
The station said the designers drew the shoe in Baton Rouge.
Roberts described the shoe as having a brushed steel toecap, representing the pot in a boil along with designs and colors representing the red of crawfish, yellow for corn and even newspaper print.
The shoe launches Saturday. It will cost about $105
