Theft victims say crook spied on them before making his move
BATON ROUGE- A couple got a shock recently; a burglar was rummaging through their bedroom late at night.
There "was a tall man with a bandanna the western style bandanna wrapped around his head," homeowner Kim Anderson said about who was in her bedroom a few nights ago.
"I just started screaming," she said. "It was a blood curdling scream."
She and her husband, Pat, said the man watched from their backyard until the moment was right to strike.
"He got the comfort level," Pat said. "He... Saw us sitting... watching TV, he went around to the other side of the house and started to go ahead and start robbing us," he said.
The couple believes the man got in through a door that was cracked open for their dog.
Pat chased the man out of their house, but the crook was able to get away with a few hundred dollars in cash.
"Who would ever believe that someone is going through your bedroom, going through your stuff, while you're sitting within feet of your bedroom," the couple questioned.
