Theft suspect leads deputies on two-parish chase
CENTRAL - A suspect in a theft case took East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's deputies on a five-mile chase Tuesday evening.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was wanted for stealing from the Walmart and hit a deputy's cruiser on their way out of the parking lot. Eventually, the person was stopped in Livingston Parish on Highway 16 between Denham Springs and Watson.
Deputies from both EBR and Livingston were on the scene were the suspect was stopped.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is expected to release more information about the case Wednesday.
