It looks like the wintry weather will remain north of Baton Rouge this morning. We did have some reports of a rain/snow mix last night, but it did not last long. We have mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies on this Thursday Morning and there is a slight chance we could see a few flurries in South Mississippi. Temperatures are in the lower to mid 30s.
We will finally see a return to the sunshine this afternoon. The upper-level low that is causing the winter storm across parts of the Deep South will move east of Louisiana. In the wake of that we will have an area of high pressure build in. This will make it sunny and still cool thanks to the northerly winds associated with it. High temperatures will be in the lower to mid 50s.
Expect clear skies tonight with a light freeze as the lows dip into the lower 30s.
