The KFC Colonel is back
NEW YORK- KFC wants to refresh its image so its bringing back Colonel Sanders, who founded the company.
He'll be played by Darrell Hammond, an alumnus of "Saturday Night Live" in KFC commercials. The real Colonel was Harland Sanders and he died 35 years ago but hasn't been used in ads for about 20 years.
KFC is also remodeling its restaurants with light fixtures shaped like chicken buckets and quotes from Sanders on the walls.
The KFC move comes a few weeks after McDonald's announced it was bringing back its Hamburglar mascot.
