The Flies That Bind: A Lesson In Fly Tying
GONZALES - Darrell Crawford has been teaching local anglers how to tie fly fishing flies for 11 years, and loves passing his knowledge along to his student.
When asked why he was so passionate about teaching his craft to others, he said, "I don't want to see it die, and wasted."
Therefore, on the second Saturday of each month until May, Crawford will be teaching a fly tying class at the Ascension Parish Library from 9am-Noon.
All levels of fly fishermen are welcome, and you can bring as many or as few related materials as you have.
The address to the library is: 708 S. Irma Blvd. in Gonzales, and the dates for class are Feb. 8, March 8, April 12 and May 10.
As always, happy fishing!
