BATON ROUGE - While temperatures are chilly this week, things will start heating up before you know it. When exercising in the heat, it's important to stay hydrated. Fitness Expert Tanesha Craig joined us on 2une in this morning for tips to make water more interesting.
It's no secret water is important to our health: It makes up over 70% of our bodies. Sometimes it gets a little boring, so here's some ways you can motivate yourself to drink more H2O.
Try infusing your water. Use simple fruits like lemons, oranges, limes or strawberries. Stick it in the freezer overnight, then thaw it out in the morning.
Green tea is also a great alternative. It boosts your metabolism and energy, in addition to being sugar free.
Making water more interesting could also be as simple as mixing it up and using a different glass or cup. Craig recommends decorating it with limes, lemons or even a cucumber to add a little flavor.
