The Fitness Expert: Simple Dumbbell Workouts
BATON ROUGE - With spring right around the corner, now is the time to start thinking out improving your exercise habits. We met up with fitness expert Tanesha Craig with some easy tips you can do in your own living room.
You don't need a gym membership to get in shape. A pair of five point dumbbells can do the trick.
First, start with simple bicep curls, left to right, then right to left. Try to do four sets of ten or fifteen. You can also do the curls simultaneously. If you don't own dumbbells, you don't need to run out to the store. You can use something as simple as canned goods instead.
Another great workout is to hold your dumbbells out to your sides. Lift them all the way up over your head, then lower them back down. Make sure you inhale and exhale, again doing four sets of ten.
Finally, a good exercise for your back is lawn mowers. Craig shows you how it's done in this video.
