The dough is in the sale
Hostess is a step closer to selling its Wonder Bread brand and its other snack products, including Twinkies. A source says there are no competing offers to a bid by Flowers Foods to buy several brands from Hostess. Flowers is based in Thomasville, Ga. and makes Tastykakes and Nature's Own and Cobblestone Mill breads. The bid from Flowers is $360 million. The sale requires approval from a bankruptcy court. Hostess went out of business last year and more than 200 jobs were lost at various locations in Louisiana.
