The cold front moves through this afternoon with some rain
The cold front will move through Baton Rouge this afternoon and this will bring a few showers and thunderstorms. Some could be strong at times with heavy rain, gusty winds, hail and frequent lightning strikes. Otherwise, it will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s.
The rain will come to an end this evening with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will fall to the lower 80s.
The cold front will settle and stall along the Coast tonight. We will be mostly clear with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
