CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA- Cocaine worth $330-million was seized from a yacht by U.S. and Australian drug agents in the South Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu. It was a 1,650 pound haul. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and Australian Federal Police have worked with South Pacific governments for the last three years to investigate organized crime's use of yachts to smuggle cocaine from South America to Australia. No arrests were made. The yacht was docked at the capitol of Vanuatu, Port Vila.
