The 2013 Farmer's Almanac is divided into seven zones. Zone five comprises New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Our current unseasonable weather is also occurring in other sections of the country. The Almanac was released a few months ago and notes that the Baton Rouge area would experience mainly fair weather from December 1st through the 3rd. "Unsettled" weather was predicted for December 4th through the 7th. From the 8th until the 11th rainy weather was forecasted with a wintry mix for northern New Mexico. For December 12th through the 15th, showery and thundery weather is predicted for Arkansas and Louisiana with fair weather elsewhere in Zone 5. Cold weather is predicted for Baton Rouge from December 20th through the 23rd. Comparing the rest of the country, tomorrow.
