Texting the wrong person
SPARTA, NEW JERSEY- Texting the wrong person put a man in jail. Police in New Jersey say a man mistakenly sent a text to a detective to set up a drug buy.
The message came on the detective's new cell phone and the sender said he had a quarter pound of pot for sale.
He wanted to meet at a pizza parlor. Nicholas Delear met an undercover officer that night but took off when he got spooked.
When he was caught, he refused to allow police to search his car.
Authorities got a warrant after a police dog detected drugs and they found the pot.
