COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Authorities at Texas A&M said a building-by-building search is going on now at the campus, after a bomb threat was called in this morning.

The university posted on their website they'd received a bomb threat, and classes the rest of the day had been canceled.

All students, faculty and staff were told to evacuate campus "as quickly and safely as possible by foot", and not to use vehicles to evacuate. The school's bus service was also rerouted in the area, and nearby churches were opened as shelters for people affected by the evacuation.

LSU and a handful of other universities across the nation have received bomb in recent months. LSU saw widespread traffic problems when they called for their campus to be evacuated.

Many LSU fans are also in College Station as the Aggies prepare to take on the Tigers this weekend. The university advised anyone traveling to Texas for the game to avoid the area around the campus.

You can keep an eye on the university's website for more information about this incident.
