Ten drug suspects still on the loose after big roundup
NAPOLEONVILLE – Only ten drug suspects are still at large after dozens of arrests last week and this weekend in Assumption Parish.
Sheriff Mike Waguespack said several more people wanted for dealing drugs in the parish turned themselves in this weekend, after more than 40 people were arrested in a roundup Friday.
This came after 64 arrest warrants were issued as the result of a nine-month long undercover investigation called “Operation Get A Real Job”.
Waguespack said if the remaining ten don’t surrender or aren’t found soon, they’ll contact the U. S. Marshals Service to assist in tracking them down.
