BATON ROUGE- Two teens received "juvenile life sentences," which will keep them in jail until they turn 21, for taking part in a city-wide crime spree.

A judge handed down the sentences for Jacobi Spears, 16, and Zachariah Dorsey, 15. A ten-year-old who was with them was given immunity for testifying against the others.

Prosecutors said the boys rode their bikes around town robbing people at gunpoint. Their victims included a pregnant woman, and investigators said the boys pointed a gun at her stomach while robbing her.

District Attorney Hillar Moore said today it's never easy to prosecute young people. He says this group had to be taken off the streets to protect the public.
