Teenager shot twice in Baton Rouge
Police are investigating a shooting in Baton Rouge this afternoon that sent a 15-year-old boy to the emergency room.
Sgt. Don Kelly with the Baton Rouge Police said investigators believe the victim was shot twice at Lake Calais Court and Town South Avenue. The boy then ran down Town South to a store on Starring Lane and collapsed.
Paramedics said the boy was hit in the leg and abdomen and was taken to a local hospital for surgery.
Kelly said at this time, they have no descriptions of suspects or other information about the shooting. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Major Assaults Division at 225-389-3844.
