Teenage girl killed in hit-and-run; Six arrested

ST. HELENA PARISH - A 17-year-old girl is dead after a fight led to a fatal hit-and-run in St. Helena Parish Wednesday.

According to the St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office, 17-year-old Shlarencya Jackson was struck by a vehicle after a fight involving numerous females broke out in the 2900 block of Leonard Chapel Road. 

After the fight was over, Keshunta Selders and five others left the residence. The sheriff's office says they later returned to the home, where several people, including juveniles, were standing in the driveway.

Authorities said that Selders pulled into the driveway at a high rate of speed and ran over Jackson. Selders then fled the scene with the other five individuals.

Jackson was transported to Hoods Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

An investigation led to information that prior altercations had occurred between two juveniles who were involved in the fight.

The following arrests have been made in connection with the incident:

Keshunta Selders - 24 - 2nd Degree Murder
Anterica Bridges - 19 -Principal to 2nd Degree Murder
Anthanisha Jenkins - 19 - Principal to 2nd Degree Murder
Antreona Anderson  - 18 - Principal to 2nd Degree Murder
Madison Cortez - 18 - Principal to 2nd Degree Murder
A juvenile was also arrested after the incident.
