BATON ROUGE - Family members said a Livonia teen accidentally shot in the head during a duck hunt is awake and recovering.
The father of Brandt Torres, 15, told News 2 his son was no long in a medically-induced coma, was breathing on his own and was able to recognize everyone in the room with him.
There's no word on how long his recovery could be.
Torres was shot by another teen last week during a duck hunt in the Grosse Tete Bayou. The teen was aiming for a duck, and accidentally shot him in the back of the head.
