A Baton Rouge teenager accused of shooting a woman and her son with an assault rifle has pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree murder.
17-year-old Derrick George Gordy is charged in the Sept. 30 shooting deaths of 40-year-old Patricia Aldridge and 21-year-old Ronald Thacker Jr. Jay Winters, who allegedly provided Gordy with the AK-47 used in the incident, also pleaded innocent to the second-degree murder charges.
A second teen charged in the case, 15-year-old Demario Alexander, will be arraigned in December.
