BAKER - Police arrested a mother and her two teenage children in connection with a series of burglaries which happened recently around Baker, then said they had to re-arrest one of the kids after they posted threatening messages on the internet.
Police Chief Mike Knaps said on Monday detectives arrested a 16-year-old boy, his mother Deborah Walker, and his 19-year-old sister Dominik Walker after they found stolen items at their home. They then re-arrested Dominik today after detectives said she posted threats to one of the burglary victims on her Facebook page.
Knaps said they were told Walker's son was seen wearing clothing stolen from a home on Nov. 30. Detectives searched the Walker's home and said they found stolen electronics, jewelry and clothing which were linked to three other residential burglaries in the area.
Detectives arrested the boy, and arrested his mother and sister after they learned the pair knew he was stealing the objects and also had possession of other stolen items.
The teen was booked into the EBR Juvenile Detention Center, while his mother and sister were booked into the parish prison.
