Teen minister facing additional abuse charges

BATON ROUGE - Police filed more abuse charges against an 18-year-old who claimed to be a church pastor.

Tuesday, authorities said Kentrell Jackson was facing two additional charges of indecent behavior and a new charge of sexual battery. Baton Rouge Police said two more victims came forward after learning of Jackson's arrest Monday.

Jackson's arrest was originally reported on Monday editions of WBRZ News 2 and WBRZ.com after police arrested him on indecent behavior with a juvenile charges. Then, police said Jackson confessed to molesting as many as 19 children but there was only one victim at the time.

Before police increased the amount of charges, a church official where Jackson claimed to preach - Jesus Name Apostolic Temple - said Jackson was loosely associated with the congregation, was not an employee and had preached at the church on occasion though not recently.
