A 15 year old boy is hospitalized in serious condition after a hit and run accident overnight Friday in Ascension Parish.

Witnesses tell deputies, the boy was riding his bicycle on Cannon Road near Steven's Park around 2:00am when he was apparently hit from behind by a white SUV.

Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office deputies say the vehicle has damage to the front part of the driver's side. A $500 reward is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the driver's arrest.
