Teen booked in jail, accused of holding gun to classmate's face
BATON ROUGE- Sheriff's deputies released the booking photo of a 17-year-old charged with holding-up an unloaded .38 caliber handgun to a classmate's face Tuesday.
Jesus Morejon and an unidentified 16-year-old were arrested after the incident at Tara High School. Deputies said the 16-year-old bought the gun illegally off the street, and Morejon took it and put it up to the head of a student, in a threatening manner.
A witness described what happened to deputies who charged the pair with illegal carrying of a weapon on school property. Morejon is also charged with aggravated assault.
