RACELAND - A 13-year-old riding her bike this afternoon died after she struck the rear of a dump truck.

Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, State Troopers started investigating a fatal crash that took the life of Autumn Fuller. Fuller was biking east on the westbound shoulder of LA 182. The driver of the truck, 56-year-old Randy Reulet of Raceland, was traveling east.

For reasons still under investigation, Fuller attempted to cross both lanes of LA 182 and struck the rear of Reulet's vehicle. She sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene by the Lafourche Parish Coroner's office.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as a factor in the crash but standard toxicology reports for Fuller are pending. A breath test from Reulet showed no alcohol present.
