CLINTON - Police arrested a Denham Springs teen after they said he threatened the Silliman Institute on Twitter.

Clinton Police Chief Fred Dunn said that Kyle Blackburn, 18, was booked Monday in the East Feliciana Parish Jail on one count of terrorizing. Dunn said he was arrested by deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana State Police.

Police said Blackburn, a student at Central Private School, posted the threats sometime this weekend. Investigators were notified by the school's headmaster, who noticed them Sunday night. He said Blackburn got into a fight during a basketball game between Central Private and Silliman a few weeks ago, and was banned from the campus in Clinton.

Dunn said officers were posted in plain clothes at Silliman until Blackburn was arrested. He's still in jail with bail set at $125,000.
