Teen accused of filming woman in dressing room
GONZALES - Police arrested a Gonzales teen after they said someone found a cell phone he'd left to record women changing in a dressing room.
Officers charged the 16-year-old mall worker with video voyeurism after his arrest. His identity was not released because he's a juvenile.
Gonzales Police said an officer was called out to the Tanger Outlet Mall for the incident Saturday. Investigators said a customer told them while she was changing in a dressing room she found a cell phone hidden under a seat. When she picked it up she noticed the recorder was on and had filmed her undressing.
Police said the phone belonged to an employee of the store who told the customer he needed to clear the room before she went in. Police said the video showed the teen intentionally starting the recording and secreting the phone under a chair before he let the woman into the dressing room.
Officers booked the teen into the juvenile facility in Assumption Parish, where he remains at this time.
