Tee off with CASA at the Terracon Golf Benefit
BATON ROUGE - Jennifer Mayer dropped by 2une In Thursday to talk about CASA's Terracon Gold Benefit. Mayer is the Recruitment Coordinator for Capital Area CASA.
The Court Appointed Special Advocate Association is a nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supports community volunteers who advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in need of safe, permanent homes.
"We strive to get these children into safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible," said Mayer, "and having events like this really gives us the resources to provide a volunteer for every child in our community that needs one.
This is the third year the golf tournament has benefited CASA. Last year, the group raised more than $9,000. The four person scramble this year will be on Monday, April 7th.
For registration and more details about the tournament contact Lisa Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org, visit CASA's website or watch Mayer's interview from 2une In.
