BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Federation of Teachers will hold a news conference at 11am in front of the 19th Judicial District Court in Downtown Baton Rouge to discuss a lawsuit to be filed against the state and Governor Bobby Jindal.

It targets the administration's recently signed laws changing teacher evaluation and tenure and the voucher program.

Governor Bobby Jindal Deputy Communications Director Aaron Baer fired off an email to News 2 early Thursday morning calling LFT "the coalition of the status quo" and saying, "no one ever expected [them] to give up its monopoly without a fight, but this is a fight they cannot win."

Michael Shingleton will have more about the lawsuit tonight on News 2 at 6pm.
