Teachers in Ouachita and Monroe City Schools could see less money in their extra paychecks at the end of the school year.
That's because of decreased sales tax collections.
Ouachita Parish business manager says it looks like teachers would receive about $200-$300 less this year than last.
In previous years the amount has increased from year to year.
The district has not yet estimated the amounts of this year's checks.
The method of sales tax check distributions varies from district to district, but most distinguish amounts between classified and certified employees.
