ASCENSION PARISH - An former Ascension Catholic teacher who was charged with sexual misconduct with students in 2009, was acquitted last week. Now, he's trying to clear his name.
Willie Depron, 31, says he doesn't have any ill feelings toward his accusers or the school administration.
"I'm not mad at the kids," Depron said. "Kids say things and it's up to the adults to follow through with it."
Three girls came forward alleging Depron touched them inappropriately and showed them racy photos in 2009.
He believes the girls came made those allegations, because they didn't like his strict policies.
"It's kind of scary," Depron said. "Going through something like this and just knowing that a person can say this about you can put your life in jeopardy."
Depron is now looking for a new job. He's unsure if he will go back into the classroom.
