LAKE CHARLES, La.- The Calcasieu Parish School Board wants to put three tax renewal propositions on the March 2012 ballot.

Karl Bruchhaus, the school system's chief financial officer, said two of the proposals are for 10-year parishwide renewals. The other pertains solely to Bell City.

One of the parishwide issues is a property tax renewal that generates about $14.5 million. The second, also parishwide, is a half-cent sales tax renewal that yields about $20.5 million annually.

The Bell City tax brings in about $140,000 per year.
