$60 million dollars in federal tax credits are available to anyone interested in opening a new business in any of five East Baton Rouge Parish neighborhoods.
Parish leaders say the Scotlandville, Zion City, Choctaw Drive, Northdale and Melrose East areas are the target for the "New Markets Tax Credits".
The hope is to return investment to areas struggling to attract new businesses.
