KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - The Taliban is claiming responsibility for an attack in Afghanistan that killed three NATO service members. The three were killed Tuesday by a roadside bomb in the eastern part of the country, 60 miles south of Kabul.
NATO hasn't given the nationalities of the dead, but the Taliban says it was targeting a U.S. military convoy.
The latest deaths bring December's toll of foreign troops killed in Afghanistan to 23, for a total of 539 deaths so far this year.
