BATON ROUGE - Many LSU fans will spend Thanksgiving in the gravel RV parking lots on campus.
The most popular item on the menu: hog or cochon de lait. It's not exactly a delicacy in these parts.
"I'm thankful for the Arkansas fans to show up so we can cook a hog in front of them," Alan Freeman from Bastrop, La. said.
Of course everyone we spoke to said they would wait until gameday to roast their pig, but tradition is saved for Thanksgiving.
"We're frying three turkeys, we got a couple of big ole hog roasts we're gonna smoke up on this smoker, we got two big ole slabs of corn bread dressing, we got green bean casserole, we got candied yams, we got brocolli casserole, and we got a little corn macheaux," Gerard Casswell, the "cajun in denial" said.
