Suspect named in Tigerland shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police identified the man detectives believe is responsible for a shooting in the Tigerland area this past weekend.
Baton Rouge Police said Jermore Verret, 23, is wanted for attempted first-degree murder.
Investigators said Verret shot two men during an argument around 2:45 a.m. on Sept. 14 while in the 1200 block of Bob Petit Boulevard. One victim was hit in the leg and the other in the abdomen.
Police said both were expected to survive.
