Police in Baker have charged a teenager for obstruction of justice in a murder investigation.

Police arrested 17 year-old Alyssa Brandon had been in direct contact with the victim, Abelardo Pampo.

Pampo's body was discovered in a little league baseball park in the early morning of July 28, 2011.

Through interviews conducted with Brandon, detectives discovered inconsistencies in both her actions and activities with the victim, which was later refuted against evidence received in the case.

Brandon was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish prison.

Further arrests in this case are expected.
