Suspect arrested in human trafficking case
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested a man on Dec. 5 in connection with an undercover operation targeting human trafficking and internet prostitution at an East Baton Rouge hotel.
Deputies arrested Travis Santel Moore, 28, of Baton Rouge on suspicion of human trafficking on Dec. 6. Agents from local, state and federal agencies were involved in the investigation.
A sheriff's office spokesperson said Thursday the investigation revealed that the circumstances for the women's involvement in commercial sex trafficking included force, coercion, and pimp control.
Moore was given a $150,000 bond.
