WBRZ - Baton Rouge

A man accused of murder last week in Baton Rouge, is now behind bars.

Derichard Lavy turned himself into authorties Tuesday afternoon. Police say Lavy shot and killed Donnie Williams in the 1800 block of Swan Street, just east of the Southern University campus on Oct. 2.

Lavy is charged with second degree murder and illegal use of a dangerous weapon.
