Suspect arrested in 2004 murder case
BATON ROUGE - Detectives say a 34-year-old man is in custody and faces murder charges in the death of Louis Davis nearly seven years ago.
Davis was killed in a drive-by shooting in August 2004 along Airline Hwy.
Police say he was the passenger in a car that was fired upon by a passing vehicle. The driver was not injured.
A witness helped lead investigators to the alleged gunman, Brian Spears.
Davis was booked into the parish prison this afternoon on first-degree murder charges. Bond had not been set.
